Ellen has stood and spoken up for us — now it’s our turn.

We, the Women for Ellen Leadership Council, are asking women to speak up, reach out, and ensure that a strong voice for women returns to Austin. Women for Ellen is your opportunity.

Women provided State Representative Ellen Cohen with the decisive margin of victory in 2006 and 2008. For Ellen to win in 2010, women across the political spectrum must cast their ballots for her once again. We are asking you to help “Educate, Enlist and Engage” the women in your circle. Educate them about Ellen’s leadership on women’s issues, Enlist them to join Women for Ellen, and Engage them to vote for Ellen!

Ellen’s career—both prior to and in elected office—is dedicated to issues especially important to women. While education, health care, the environment and matters of equity are not solely “women’s issues,” we know that women care deeply about such matters, investing time and energy to improve the lives of their families and friends.

Ellen has never faced a problem that she believed couldn’t be solved through determination and hard work. “Bringing People Together. Getting Things Done.” It’s what she does best. Now let’s follow her lead and send her back to Austin. Thank you for your support!
